My name is Simon Paul Lewis I was born in Hereford as Simon Price and am looking for my birth father Ray/Raymond Turner or any of his family/relatives. Ray used to work as a carpenter and was in a pop band when he was younger called 'New City Sounds' and I believe he played the Hereford circuits. Ray used to live in Belmont Road, Hereford and used to drink in the Three Horse Shoes. He also used to live in Prestiegne. Ray was born 40's early 50's. My birth mother is Virginia (Dawn) Lewis nee Price. The adoption was registered at Hereford registry office on or around July 24-25 1972. Adopted father is Phillip Frederick Lewis on or about July to October 1974
at the judges chambers at Hereford Magistrates Court, Gaol Street Hereford. I'm 36 now and really want to get in touch. If anyone knows Ray or can help then please drop me an email. Thanks.

my name is Lynda Steele and I am from Tredegar in South Wales.I am tracing my family tree and have discovered my grandmother was Emma Annie Adams who was born in Shobdon in 1903 to James Adams and Minnie Leary. Emma Annie (known as Annie) came to Tredegar and married my grandfather George Moon in 1924. My father Glyndwr Moon was one of the children they had together along with 12 others. I believe 3 of the children might have been raised by family in Herefordshire Elizabeth born in 1946, William J born in 1945 and Jean born in 1948. I have no knowledge of where these people are now but am desperate to find out any information I can to reunite my family.Annies father James Adams was from the Stauton area and her mother Minnie was from the Ludlow area.Just before her death in 1953 Minnie Adams, as she would have been then lived in an old railway carriage in Wellington. I would be delighted if anyone had any information about this family and got in touch. Regards Lynda Steele

Hi, I wonder if anyone out there can help me. I'm trying to trace my natural father - and his family (my family, yet a family I have never known), not for the first time in my life. I was born Marie Louise Smith on 21.07.1968 to Elizabeth Anne Price (Anne Smith) and Philip Smith. I believe my parents married either before or just after I was born although they weren't married when my Mother first found out she was expecting me and she was shipped off to Worcester to have me. My family - grandparents: John and Jean Price, their son, my Uncle Adam. My Nan worked in the local pub for a while - near the Common? Red hair! Grandfather had family (brothers) in Hereford - Peter Price and Mick Price (the latter now deceased). I believe my Godparents are my Dad's half brother and sister in law - Gill and Wendy Aston (or Ashton?). I was told some years ago my Dad and Godparents still lived somewhere in Hereford. I wrote letters to every P or Phil or Philip Smith in the Hereford telephone directory a long time ago but nothing transpired. I'd love to find my natural father, and find out the other half of who I am! We moved to Altrincham, Cheshire when I was 7 years old. I don't remember my Dad and have never seen him since we left Hereford. I do have a few photographs which my grandmother gave to me. I hope I've provided enough background information for somebody to know something. Can anyone help? Please....

We are searching for any ex members from 1973-2007; so far we have found 225.
Our aims were to put ex members back in touch with old friends, this has been ongoing since day one. For the ADU N.I Association to take part in the Cenotaph march past on Remembrance Sunday, we have now been recognised as an official contingent to take part in this years march past in 2009. To self fund a Memorial to the handlers and their dogs who died in Northern Ireland working for Army Dog Unit, we have received donations of £2395.00 to date and our application has been totally successful and written confirmation has been received from the National Memorial Arboretum and the Ceremony will be on the 1st August 2009 at 2.00pm. And to organise a reunion in 2009 for all ex handlers of ADU N.I, this is in the process of being organised now.
